From browsing repair forums I’ve seen this issue is quite common and can be brought on by a flurry of sources.
I however think I might be lucky in my bad luck. I’ve taken the back panel apart and upon close inspection, there seems to be a VERY likely culprit. My question however for the more experienced peeps in here is if this issue is likely to be the cause of my problem or a side effect of another problem.
On the power module (or Power Modle as written on the thing … ), one of the parts seems to have overheated (marked BCK-50-L04050, in the bottom middle rightish section of the board).
Wondering if:
1) Only that part can be replaced -tried a google search to no avail - what is that part called btw.
2) Can something else cause this issue that would render the power module replacement trivial.
3) Anyone has a link to access the service manual for this TV.
Thanks a lot in advance for your insights,
Nik

Is this a good question?
